Bio

Kayla is a Stanford undergrad studying Political Science and Psychology, focusing on social and economic development. She is passionate about understanding our world from different perspectives, ranging from neuroplasticity to public policy. Growing up in Manila, Philippines, Kayla has always been passionate about finding ways to support her community. She spent most of her high-school career non-profit work — whether that be founding a library at a local public elementary school, or hosting her school’s largest fundraisers to support local causes, such as supporting fisherman affected by typhoons. She is now the Director of Social Impact at Stanford Women in Business, where she works to connect undergraduate women with female leaders pioneering sustainable social and environmental innovation. As a current part-time and incoming full-time Fellow this summer, Kayla is passionate about helping innovative founders on their mission to drive change in every realm. She is particularly excited about sectors like sustainable agriculture, innovation in packaging and health care equity. At Fifty Years, Kayla hopes to connect with founders and immerse herself in a community equally dedicated to innovation and solving pressing global issues.
