Bio: Sarah Alexander is the Executive Director of the Emerging Markets Private Equity Association. Before joining EMPEA, Sarah worked at Emerging Markets Partnership, an international private equity firm with $5.7 billion under management. As a Senior Investment Officer with EMP’s $1.7 billion AIG Asian Infrastructure Fund II since 1999, Ms. Alexander managed private equity transactions throughout Asia in a variety of sectors, including telecommunications, media, power and basic industries. Prior to joining EMP, her work focused on international economic policy, first at the U.S. Department of State and later at the World Bank. Ms. Alexander has an MBA from Harvard Business School, a Masters of Public Administration from Princeton University’s Woodrow Wilson School, and a B.A., Summa Cum Laude, from Emory University. She is also currently an Adjunct Professor of Finance at Georgetown University.
