Bio
Has been active in international startups, general management and venture capital investing for 26 years. Joined Accel in 2000 and focuses primarily on software, internet and mobile businesses. Prior to joining Accel, spent 4 years as a London-based Partner at Doughty Hanson & Co. Before joining Doughty Hanson & Co, spent 2 years as Executive Director at Goldman Sachs International. Prior to joining Goldman Sachs, spent 14 years with Fanuc, the world-leader in robotics and numerical controls. Over his 14-year career with Fanuc, held various board, general management, sales, marketing and engineering positions in EMEA and the US. Currently serves on the Board of Directors at Alfresco, Autoquake, Getjar, Icera, Playfish, Telepo and Varonis. Has served on the Board of Directors at companies in the United Kingdom, Germany, France, Italy and The Netherlands. Is an active member of the World Economic Forum and is on the Selection Committee of the WEF Technology Pioneers Programme. Graduated with highest distinction from Northwestern University with a BS degree in Engineering.
